This 2 days Gorilla safari in Uganda starts from Kigali in Rwanda driving to Bwindi impenetrable national park and ends in Rwanda Kigali. Gorilla permits are cheaper in Uganda then Rwanda and distance from Rwanda to Bwindi is short [4-5 hours’ drive] combined to Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi which is about 11-12 hours’ drive.

Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi impenetrable forest and Kigali city tour
Akita Wild Tours’ guide/driver will pick you from Kigali international airport or hotel for transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. He will brief you and then proceed for Kigali city tour where you will visit Kigali Genocide memorial, National museum and Kigali convention Center. Have lunch at any tourist’s restaurant. Proceed with the journey, cross the Rwanda-Uganda border, arriving late in the afternoon, check-in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and transfer back to Kigali.
You will rise early have breakfast and our company guide will drive you to the park’s headquarters, carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water. On arrival at the briefing point you will be briefed before you head to the forest to trek the amazing gorillas. You will then penetrate the tropical forest with accompaniment of the game ranger guides.
You will take some time to find the mountain gorillas depending on the gorilla’s movements and where their slept the previous night, on finding them you will have any one hour to view the exciting mountain gorillas as they feed, play and see the role of the silver back gorilla. The trek is strenuous but worthwhile. Walk back to the starting point where you will meet your guide/driver waiting to transfer you back to Kigali/Rwanda. This will mark the end of your trip.
