WHAT TO EXPECT
Gorilla Trekking: Gorilla trekking is done in Bwindi and Mgahinga gorilla national park, the activity is the famous activity around Uganda and it brings in many tourists around the world to see this endangered mountain gorilla. To go for gorilla trekking one must be at least 15 years old and above, the exercise requires physically fitness. You will enter the thick jungle at elevations ranging up to 10,000 feet. The gorilla trek takes 1-8 hours depending on the location of the primates. Treks can be arduous; and the terrain can be steep, uneven, wet, and muddy. This trip is not suitable for those who suffer from a cardiac, respiratory, or circulatory disorder or a disability that limits mobility.
Wildlife safaris: Uganda is blessed with several number of national parks and most of them homing wildlife. Some of the national parks with plenty of wildlife include Kidepo valley national park, this park was named as one of the must visit parks by CNN of the it wildlife, Queen Elizabeth national park famous for its tree climbing lions, Murchison falls national park well known for its waters falls, Lake Mburo national park a home to plenty of zebras and Sumiliki national park. Some of the wildlife you should expect to meet in this national parks include lions, zebras, elephants, giraffes, water bucks, warthogs, leopards, hippos, crocodiles, Rhinos, Uganda kobs, monkeys and baboons to mention the few.

Day 1: Arrival to Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe international Airport, you will be welcomed by Akita wild tours Agency staff, exchange words of greetings and introduction, they will then transfer you to your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Akita wild tours guide/driver will pick you up from the hotel after breakfast for transfer to Murchison falls national park, drive through Kampala City center. The safari takes 5-6 hours’ drive with two stopovers for lunch and at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for white Rhino tracking. After the track, drive to Masindi town where you will have lunch break at any tourist’s restaurant. Proceed with the journey to Murchison Falls, have an en-route game drive in search of wildlife before heading to the lodge. Late in the evening drive to the lodge, check-in and wait for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Game drive and Nile Boat cruise
Wake up very early and at 6:30 am, Akita wild tours guide will drive you to Northern sectors where you will do game viewing. The reason as why you should start your game drive early in the morning so as to catch-up with the night hunters who will be heading back to their hide outs. Expect to encounter lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards, warthogs, hartebeest, water buck and different bird species singing morning melodied. Return to the lodge for later breakfast and early lunch and relax bit before heading for afternoon activity. After lunch go for 2pm afternoon boat cruise on the Nile where you will see large school of hippos, crocodiles and plenty of wildlife drinking water at the river bank. Proceed for visit to the top of falls where you will see water forcing themselves out of the tiny rocks while forming permeant rainbows. After the hike, do another game drive as your heading to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at the pervious lodge.
Day 4: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
Drive to Kibale forest national park after your morning breakfast. Check-out of the lodge and your safari guide/driver will transfer you to the home of primates Kibale forest national park, pass by rolling hills, local homesteads, banana plantation and tea plantation. Make stopover at Fort portal where you will have lunch and after lunch you visit the crater lakes. Drive to the lodge, check-in and wait for dinner and overnight.

Duration: 5-6 hours’ drive
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and bigodi wetland sanctuary
Have morning African cup of coffee and report to park’s headquarters for an exciting chimp trekking. You will be brief on the rules and regulations of conducting chimp tracking, you will be given a group of six  tourists per chimp family. The well-armed game ranger will lead the group into the thick tropical rainforest in search of the chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others. For those who would wish spend more time with chimp, you can opt for the Chimpanzee Habituation Experience. Chimpanzee Habituation Experience offers you the unique experience spend an entire day with the chimps, follow their daily activities, learn more about their way of life. Return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch visit the Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will see a lot of primates and bird species. D inner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
check-out of the lodge after morning breakfast and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with beautiful view of mountain of the moons mount Rwenzori. We drive through beautiful landscapes and see crater lakes. Proceed with the journey arriving to Queen Elizabeth national park at time for lunch. After lunch head for game drive in search of wildlife; waterbucks and elephants, including warthogs, buffaloes. Drive back to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Duration; 3 hours’ drive
Day 7: Game drive and boat cruise at the Kazinga channel
Go for morning game drive at 6:30 am in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat. At 11:30 am return to lodge for late breakfast and early lunch before proceeding for afternoon boat cruise at the kazinga channel. Watch out for hundreds of bird species that can be sighted in the park, elephants, buffaloes’ crocodiles and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. After, you will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
Start a day with African cup of coffee and then you will check-out of the lodge for transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park a home of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas in the world. Drive through traditional homesteads, view banana plantation, rolling hills and ankole long horned cattle. Upon arrival at the park, you drive to the lodge for check-in, have dinner and overnight stay.

Duration: 4-5 hours’ drive
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking and community visit
Here comes along waited day in your safari, take breakfast and set off to park’s headquarters for briefing and after you will head to meet with the Mountain Gorillas! The trek starts at 8:30 am and expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. The trek takes 1-8 hours and after finding the gorillas, you will be allowed only one  hour with the gorillas, seeing them playing, feeding and breast feeding the little gorillas. Return to the lodge and rest for some few minutes and then go for community visit to the communities of the form poachers. Dinner and overnight at the pervious lodge.
Day 10: Departure
Take morning breakfast and check-out of the lodge. Drive to Igongo Cultural Center where you will have lunch and then proceed with the journey to Uganda equator for some photo shots and refreshments. Upon arrival you will be dropped at the hotel or Entebbe international airport for your flight back home.
Yellow Fever Vaccination (For Foreign Non Residents):
Please note that you are required to have an up-to-date yellow fever vaccine to enter Uganda. You can arrange this in your home country and bring proof, or you can have the vaccine done in the airport upon arrival to Uganda for approx. $40. Rules and restrictions are always changing, so please make sure to do your own research for vaccines and visas before arriving in Uganda
